Welcome to Afia Labs Studio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at afialabs.net, our mobile applications (MemeScanr, TripSquad, Planet Wonders), and our studio services for client work (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

Studio services for client engagements (websites, landing pages, mobile apps, digital systems) are governed by these Terms in combination with our Services Agreement and any signed Statement of Work for that project. Where the Services Agreement or signed SOW conflicts with these Terms, the more specific document controls.

1. Use of Our Services

You may use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

2. User Content

Some features of our apps may allow you to manage or store your own content (for example photos within MemeScanr).

You retain ownership of your content.

Afia Labs does not claim ownership of your photos, files, or personal data stored within the app.

Certain features of MemeScanr require access to your device's photo library.

Planet Wonders is designed for children ages 5–10.

Afia Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents or guardians who believe personal information has been provided should contact us for removal.

5. Studio Services (Client Engagements)

Afia Labs Studio offers paid client services including website design, landing page design, mobile app development, and related digital systems work. These services are described on our /services/ page and detailed in our Services Agreement.

Submitting a project inquiry through our website does not create a binding engagement. A binding engagement begins only when both parties have signed a Statement of Work or written agreement for that project. Final binding terms (scope, payment, timeline, intellectual property transfer, cancellation) for each engagement are set in that signed document.

Our Services Agreement is a plain-English starting point that describes how we typically work. Specific terms in any signed Statement of Work supersede the general terms on this site.

6. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, designs, software, and content owned by Afia Labs Studio (including the Afia Labs name, the MemeScanr name, the TripSquad name, the Planet Wonders name, and our website content) remain owned by Afia Labs Studio unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, distribute, or modify our intellectual property without permission.

For client engagements, intellectual property in the work product is transferred to the client upon full payment as described in the signed Statement of Work and our Services Agreement. Afia Labs Studio retains the right to display completed work in its portfolio and case studies unless the client opts out in writing before launch.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep our Services available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Features may change, be updated, or discontinued at any time.

For client engagements, total liability is limited to the amount actually paid for the specific Statement of Work giving rise to the claim. This limit applies in addition to any limits in the signed Statement of Work.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date. For client engagements already in progress, the Terms in effect at the time the Statement of Work was signed continue to apply for that engagement unless both parties agree in writing to the updated Terms.
